There are so many times looking through the catelogue when I think "that's not for me" only to have a huge change of heart when I have see someone use the same set and post it on social media, then of course I buy it immediately.
Well it kind of happened again, I wanted samples from all inclusive card kit, when I was ordering it, the only one available was Lots of Happy, there wasn't much happiness here because I really wasn't keen on it but it was a needs must situation.
It arrived today so I thought I would make up the samples straight away, after the second one, I was in love with the kit, WHY HADN'T I BOUGHT IT BEFORE?
It is so pretty and suitable for a first time card maker or a very experienced one, did I mention it was pretty?
The answer to my why hadn't I bought it before was quite simple, I don't usually like card kits, but to be honest I had never really looked at them properly. Not only are they pretty but they are excellent value when you see what is included in the kit.
As they say there’s lots to love in this all-inclusive card kit. Each
* Makes 20 cards, 4 each of 5 designs,
using the included Lots of Happy Stamp Set
* Folded card sizes: 2" x 3-1/2", 2-1/2" x 4-1/2", 4" x 3-1/2",

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOROTHY
Over the years many people have come and gone through our lives, I've been so Blessed meeting some really lovely people, though I must admit I have met many that were totally on the opposite spectrum, enough said.
One of our favourite people is having a milestone Birthday this week. Dorothy will be 80 and we wish her the greatest day, I know the celebrations actually started on the weekend.
Hope she likes the fun fold.

MONDAY, MONDAY
Doesn't it come around quick?
When the Occasions Catelogue was launched one of the first Stamp set I feel in love with was the Bloom By Bloom Photopolymer Set so obviously one of the first I bought, but didn't use.
I have seen some beautiful examples of this set and you can imagine how disappointed I was when I sat down last week to use it. It simply didn't work, the coverage wasn't good. I thought if I used the Stamparatus I could rectify it but no, I over stamp at least a dozen times and still couldn't get the impression I wanted/expected.
So, I put a HELP out on Facebook and thankfully got some great tips.
It's a simple card but I love it and am using it for this week's Mail it Monday.
Is anyone else doing a Mail it Monday or something similar? Actually, getting something in the mail other than bills and junk is very exciting.

- Scrub the stamp before you use it

COLOUR CHALLENGE
I am part of a great team, INKsomniacs Group Forum headed by my upline Linda Dalke, each week there is a colour challenge, so far I have never taken part in this, for no particular reason other than my lack of confidence, though Linda is very supportive and encouraging.
So this week I decided to be brave and have a go.
The colour chosen this week was Calypso Coral, though I don't dislike it, it is not one of my first choices, well it wasn't until now, I have had a huge change of heart.
Having watched Kylie Bertucci's recent video on Emboss-Resist, not something i have done is a long time, this is what I came up with.
I used the retired stamp set from Stampin' up! - Butterfly Basics, it would work with any other stamp, of any subject but if you like butterflies, there are two beautiful sets in the current Occasions Catelogue, Butterfly Gala and Beauty Abounds. if you would like to get either of these just click on the above link to my 24 Hour Shop.
I hope you like the project and give it a go, I'd love to see your cards either here in the comments or on my Facebook Page.

Our Second Stamping Around The World Blog Hop
How quickly does a month go? I can't believe this is the second Blog Hop with these amazing ladies.
We came together last month to collaborate on an exclusive monthly tutorial bundle detail of the February bundle will be at the end of this blog.
In this blog hop, we are using the same products we used in this months tutorial bundle.
As much as I love the products in the Occasions Catelogue, I choose products from the Annual Catelogue .The stamp I used was the beautiful hedgehog in the Hedgehugs Clear-Mount Stamp Set, but today I thought I would use the squirrel from the set, he is so cute and seems to get over looked. I've teamed him with two pieces of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, which is so versatile, one side being Whisper White the other Very Vanilla and this is how I have used them, the leaves in Whisper White with a frame overlaid in Very Vanilla.
This is such a quick and simple card, a bit of fussy cutting and layering. Hope you like it and if you do and you would like to purchase the products used just click on the Shop Now Page on the Navigation Bar and that will take you straight to my store, there you will be able to see all the wonderful products Stampin' Up! produce or just click on a specific product below.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you like this card, if you have any questions please email me at sueallensimplycraft@bigpond.com, now sit back and enjoy Jo Anne's lovely project.

MAIL IT MONDAY AGAIN
Monday is here again, my Mail it Monday recipient this week is my ophthalmologist, who has been a huge part of my life for well over 20 years, I'm sure some people will say he deserves more than a card for putting up with me for so long,
For the first few years I only saw him once in a blue moon for a check up but in 1998 things change dramatically. I developed cataracts, I was devastated, that doesn't happen to a 42 year old. I had the surgery, in both eyes, but my sight got worse, apparently I had a disease called Fuchs Dystrophy, which led to me having to have a corneal transplant in 2000. This was one of the hardest periods of my life up to that stage, the thought of having a piece of a dead person in me was beyond anything i had every imagined and waiting for the tissue to be available felt mercenary however the alternative was that i would lose the sight in my right eye within two years.
The surgery was a great success and i can't explain how grateful I am to the donors family for allowing me such a great gift.
The difference in my sight was amazing, I had not realised the extent of my loss until I could see properly again Sadly eight years later the cornea failed and i had to have a second transplant.
I can't begin to thank Geoff for the support he gave me, both medical and emotional, in 2000 the tissue waiting list was huge and the Eye Bank in NSW was not run as it should, Geoff encouraged me to go to a wonderful doctor in Queensland where I could get the surgery done quicker, as I was told at the time by the Queensland team that I had a one in a million doctor who put me first before his fees. I am and always will be grateful to Geoffrey Cohn for everything he has done for me and my family.
I had my regular check up last week and I realised that though i have said thank you in person i have never actually written it to him, so he's my Mail it Monday for this week.
Yes, its plain but I don't think there is a stamp set anywhere that could 100% express how I feel, I hope he likes it.
