MY CARD MAKING ALPHABET - P

is for PATTERN PAPER

We are so lucky to have some beautiful Designer Series Paper available to us, sadly we don't always use it to the best of it's ability, why shouldn't we use it as the focal point of the card by just adding a small sentiment, the options are a large as your imagination.

SIMPLY SCORED BLOG HOP OCTOBER, 2019

This is my first Blog Hop with this group, I'm really interested to see all the project.

The subject of todays Hop is All Ready Christmas, to me I should be doing a 3D project as Scored is in the title of the group, but I'm not because I love using scoring in my cards and I don't just me the crease. I use scoring as a decorative feature an some of the Christmas cards I have made are decorated that way.

This is a card I have made may times, its quick and simply and effective.

This particular card was made using Come Sail Away Memories and More cards but I have made it using various stamp sets, different colours, different effects.

Hope you like it.

MY CARD MAKING ALPHABET - O

is for OVERLAYS

Pocket scrapbooking is a great way to use overlays, a beautiful picture without having to damage it writing or stamping on it.

With card making it's the same, a beautiful piece of paper, image, photograph , adding a sentiment.

Vellum or even Stampin' Up! Window Sheets.

With this card, I used the Window Sheets with adhesive sheets to attach. Sadly the light wasn't good so an even worse photo.

I LOVE A SUNBURNT COUNTRY

I have to say I am not a great one for poetry but like most people I do have my favourites.

One of them is My Country by Dorothea Mackellar, the second stanza is the best know of the poem about Australia.

I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror -
The wide brown land for me!

As wonderful as Australia is the extremes are more than extreme.

Yesterday, here in New South Wales, one part of the state was and still is on fire, another had a snowfall, bizarre.

One thing that is almost country wide is drought. According to the NSW Department of Primary Industries, 61% of NSW is either in drought or intense drought, while nearly 39% is drought affected and the government can't get their priorities right. But I'm not going to get political here.

I live on the beautiful Central Coast and an amazing lady up here has set up a Facebook Group Coasties Drought Aid.

This group is to help struggling farmers in NSW by people on the Central Coast.

The current project is Christmas, either by donating food etc, money, or sponsoring a farmer, gifts can be included.

We've decided to sponsor a farmer, we'll make up a hamper for our nominated farmer and family.

We all know the joy of receiving a card, birthday, anniversary, just thinking of you, whatever but these families have more on their minds than going out and buying cards so my hampers are going to include card packs, I'm going to make a selection of different occasions so they have them on hand when needed.

Being part of the Stampin' Up! family I often get a card in the mail and its fantastic but the other day I received one so expectantly from someone who doesn't share what we do but shares the thought and I can't tell you how it made my day.

Please keep farmers and firefighter in your prayers.

INK. STAMP. SHARE OCTOBER BLOG HOP

Thank you for stopping by todays Blog Hop.

This is my very first one with the Ink. Stamp. Share group, I'm looking forward to many more.

The theme of this months Blog Hop is a Colour Challenge, from this colour list Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, Purple Posy, we had to select three and design a card.

Strange where idea's come from, this came to me after I spilt coffee over my desk which puddled, thankfully i didn't lose any of the cards on there but some DSP had to go in the bin.

As you can see from the photograph, I chose Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron and used the Artisan Textures Cling-Mount Stamp Set and the
Crafting Forever Cling-Mount Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you like this card, if you would like a PFD with full details please message me.

Now, please continue with the Blog Hop and check out all the other projects. You can do this either by clicking NEXT or see the list below.

SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

The loss of a pet is one of the hardest things, no pet I have ever had, has just been an animal, they have been family.

Sadly some friends of ours lost a member of their family last week.

Just a little something to let them know we are thinking of them.

I hope it brings them a little peace.

R.I.P. Chelsea.
