THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Now that Christmas is only around the corner I'm having a few classes solely for Christmas, we started last week with a Sampler Class which I will blog another time, next weeks class is making 20 Christmas cards using the Night Before Christmas Memories and More products.

The Memories and More cards are ideal for pocket scrapbooking but they can also be used for beautiful, easy cardmaking and are perfect for the beginners as they are designed that if you don't want to stamp you don't have to, all you need to get started is the Memories and More, card pack, cards and envelopes and some glue. Though you can step them up with stamps, dies ribbon whatever you want.

Card and envelope pack contains  total Memories & More card bases

folded card size: 6-1/4" x 4-1/4" (15.9 x 10.8 cm) with 20 coordinating 
envelopes

The card packs contain 54 total double-sided cards (6 each of 9 designs) in 3" x 4" (7.6 x 10.2 cm) and 4" x 6" (10.2 x 15.2 cm) sizes and 6 sticker sheets all of which are acid and lignin free, when means depending on your creativity you  could make 54 beautiful Christmas cards.

I have just started putting a few samples together, they are so easy, Memories and More sets would be a great gift for someone starting out crafting.

MY CARD MAKING ALPHABET - N

N is for NAMES

Who wouldn't like to see their name as part of their card, especially children.

This card I made for Hamish couldn't have been easier, using the eclipse technique and the gorgeous Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. This card is very quick, easy and very personal.

You don't have to use names, words or events, whatever is appropriate (and will fit on the card) can be used. 

Sadly the Alphabet dies I used in this card have retired however the new Hand-lettered Prose Dies would work just as well.

WORLD CARD MAKING DAY TAKE 2

A couple of weeks ago it was World Cardmaking Day and I received a few surprise cards in the mail from some demonstrators I'm working with at the moment.

I have to say, apart from the fact that the cards are lovely, it was so nice to get something out of the letter box that wasn't a bill, begging  letters, political rubbish and basic junk mail.

As much as I love social media, sadly the personal touch is getting taken out of our lives and we need to bring it back, we must send more cards, we should start a campaign.

These are the three beautiful cards I received and thank you, Alison, Mel and Jo.

Who wouldn't be thrilled to receive these?
