HUGS FROM SHELLI PAPER PUMPKIN KIT

Here in Australia we had only every been envious of those in North America being able to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin.

It seemed ideal for the novice stamper, a great learning tool, so when we were lucky enough to get to get our hands on one, I have to say at first I was a little disappointed.

I had hoped that it would be something you could give as a gift to someone with no craft experience, but who could follow basic instructions. To start with, no basic instructions and then the sentiments aren't something that a first time stamper may want, whatever happened to a Happy Birthday?.

I have a few customers who have purchased the kit, all are relatively new with limited  supplies, so my initial plan was to make up a set of the cards using only the supplies in the kit to give them a few ideas and options.

But the more I looked at it and thought, the more options I could see to incorporate their limited supplies and come up with many more designs, actually we are having a class doing just that. That will be in a future blog.  So again, I have had a complete change of heart because even though I still believe it's not 100% suitable to just give a first timer as a gift, there's more than enough there to whet the appetite of new stampers.

I really hope that this is the start of things to come here in Australia.

OUR FIFTH STAMPING AROUND THE WORLD BLOG HOP

Last month I stuffed up the timing of the hop, so hopefully this month I will get it right and you will have come here from Jenny

As you know myself and eleven other demonstrators from various part of the world collaborate on a monthly Tutorial Bundle and the during the month, we have this Blog Hop to highlight the stamp set we used which another design.

Details on how to obtain the bundle for May will follow.below.

This month the stamp set I chose was Dandelion Wishes which I am thrilled to say carries over to the new catalogue.

This is a stamp that I loved from first seeing it last year but for some strange reason only purchased it a few months ago and it is so versatile.

This card has two of my favourite things, simplicity and Night of Navy Cardstock.

How well does the Pineapple Punch go with Night of Navy? just love it.

A little peak at another one, I'm practising Simple Stamping

I hope you like these and get some inspiration from all of our cards, from here I will hand you on to Jo Anne.

DEMONSTRATOR TRAINING BLOG HOP MAY 2019

Doesn't a month go quick? Scary eh!

My card this month is using a stamp set I have used a few times before, why ? because I love it, its so versatile, it can be used for the simplest cards or the more adventurous.

I think I have said before, when it first came out, i didn't like it and to this day I have no idea why I ended up buying it but it just proves how wrong some first impressions are.

The stamp set I'm talking about is Beautiful You and I am thrilled that it carries over to the new catalogue.

I am sure this fold has a name but I don't have a clue to what it is. personally I think it offsets the simplicity of the navy and white.

Details of the products used are listed below, if you would like to purchase any on them, click right here to go to my 24 hour online store.please use the Hostess Code for May,  DGKFDM34 with orders under $250.

On Blog Hop days my routine is to grab a coffee and and hop away, which is what I am going to do very shortly..

Everyone taking part in this Blog Hop is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator taking part in a training program with Kylie Bertucci, members are from various parts of the world and very talented So please click on the next link and enjoy.

Product List
Don't forget with a purchase of A$78 you will receive a free copy of the Stamping Around the World Tutorial Bundle for the current month, which comes in PDF form.

TUESDAY THERAPY

In September, 2015 I lost my beautiful Mum, in early 2016 we made a major move, in July, 2016 I lost my gorgeous Dad, July 2016 I feel apart. everything caught up with me and I just went to pieces.

My husband was very supportive but after a few months I knew I had to do something, something for me and that something had to be craft related.

I had dabbled in several crafts in the past but being in a new area at first I found it difficult, but then I found a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and a local Patchwork Shop.

I have to say that between the two I found the best therapy.

I am not the world best sewer, in fact I think I'm dreadful, with wonky eyes I end up with wonky seams but it's wonderful, a lot of that is due to the others who go but also the person who owns the business, Jody Sutton of All About Sewing is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet and I would like to use this opportunity to thank her for all of her support.

If anyone is looking for a great place to sew, or buy gorgeous fabric, they should take a visit to her store. If you click on the banner it will take you to her Facebook Page.

I really believe Jody and All About Sewing should be granted a Medicare Provider Number..
