Punches are a great tool, but sometimes they don't cut clean or get a bit sticky, two ideas to keep your punches in tip top order are:

• Occasionally punch through Aluminium Foil, (several times) to sharpen, &
  
• Punch through Grease-proof Paper (several times) to lubricate it.
