I'm casing again, this time from Dawn Griffiths from the USA, she refers to this as the Reverse Masking Sponging Technique.
Basically on a piece of cardstock, you sponge a shape, in this case I used the Stitched Nested Label Dies, the stamped image needs to fit within the shape, then a smaller die is used to cut out the centre. The original piece is then attached to the card base using dimensionals and the centre piece is added using adhesive. Sounds complicated? not really but you can watch her video on YouTube.
