COLOUR COMBO BLOG HOP JULY, 2022

 \

Welcome to my small part of this Hop, three interesting colours this month. Starry Sky, Pacific Point and Soft Succulent, remember the old saying blue & green should never be seen.  I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with.

My card is basically simple stamping with a couple of small die cuts.

For the card base I used Soft Succulent, next layer Pacific Point then Basic White for the stamping.

I used the Sending Smiles Stamp Set, very simple stamping but to add a little texture I added die cuts of the flowers.

SCRAPPY SUNDAY 10TH JULY, 2022

Left over Designer Series Paper is to gorgeous to just throw away.

Slimline cards are very trendy at the moment and these are a great way of using up strips of Designer Series Paper.

My card to day is using the beautiful Magnolia Lane DSP which sadly is now retired..

I really love this card and it couldn't be simpler. a few of the products I used are now retired but there are many that could be substituted.

  • My card base is 8 1/2" x 8" scored at 4"  (Crumb Cake)
  • 1st layer is 8 1/4" x 3 3/4"  (Early Espresso)
  • DSP layer is 8" x 3 1/2"
  • Wrap a piece of ribbon around the DSP before assembling the layers
  • I used the Layering Ovals to die cut and oval in Crumb Cake for the sentiment and a scalloped oval in Early Espresso to mat it.
  • Fussy cut one of the magnolias and pop it up on dimensionals.
  • I also fussy cut a magnolia to use inside the card.
Hope you like this card. If you have any questions contact me at sueallensimplycraft@bigpond.com.

CHRISTMAS IS JULY COLOUR CHALLENGE STAMPING INKSPIRATIONS JULY, 2022

&nb

Thank you for joining me for the Stamping Inkspiration Blog Hop, todays theme is a Christmas in July colour challenge. We were a choice of two  colour palettes depending on our preference of the holiday... cold weather or warm weather.

Here is Australia, Christmas is quite warm, but I chose the cold weather palette, there were 2 reasons for this, firstly I prefer a traditional Christmas and secondly it's freezing here at the moment, July for us is very cold.

The colours given for the cold weather version are: Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso.

For this card I used the Christmas Season Stamp Set and the coordinating Season Labels Dies.

As someone kindly pointed out there is only 24 more Saturdays before Christmas so this is a good way to get started.

If you have any questions contact me at sueallensimplycraft@bigpond.com.

Thank you for stopping by, now onto the rest of the hop to be inspired, enjoy.
